Are used A10 Networks appliances fully tested before shipping?

Yes. Every A10 unit is tested by our technical engineers before shipment - interfaces, hardware health and boot-up are verified - and sold with a free 3-month warranty, extendable on request. Minor cosmetic wear is normal on used equipment.

What is the difference between the A10 AX Series and Thunder Series?

The AX Series is A10's earlier application delivery controller line (for example the AX-1030 and AX-2500), while the Thunder Series is the current generation (Thunder 3030S, 3430, 4430, 6630 and the 1030S entry model). Both run ACOS; the Thunder Series adds newer hardware, higher throughput and richer ADC features such as aGalaxy centralized management and A10 FlexPool licensing.

Does a used A10 appliance keep its ACOS license?

ACOS licenses are tied to the device. On the used market the previous owner must deregister the serial number so the unit can be re-registered - we verify registration and license status before shipment and can help with the transfer process.
