The CE8800 series switches are Huawei's new-generation high-performance, high-density, and low-latency Ethernet switches designed for data centers and high-end campus networks. Offering high-density 100GE, 40GE, 25GE, and 10GE ports, the CE8800 series supports a wide range of data center features and high-performance stacking. This helps enterprises and operators build data center network platforms tailored for the cloud computing era.
To date, the CE8800 series comprises two sub-series: the CE8860 and the CE8850:
CE8860: The CE8860-4C-EI is a 2U modular switch. Through flexible module combinations and interface splitting, a single chassis can support up to 32 100GE, 64 40GE, 128 25GE, or 128 10GE ports.
CE8850: The CE8850-32CQ-EI is a 1U 100GE fixed-port switch. A single chassis can support up to 32 100GE, 32 40GE, 128 25GE, or 130 10GE ports.
In data center networks, the CE8800 series can serve as high-density access TOR or EOR switches. When the server scale is relatively small, they can also function as core or aggregation layer switches. Furthermore, they can be deployed as Spine or Leaf switches in Spine-Leaf architectures. The series supports multiple deployment modes, including standalone, stacking, and M-LAG, and is compatible with mainstream overlay technologies such as VXLAN.

The Huawei CE8850-64CQ-EI is a high-density 100G Ethernet switch designed for modern data centers. Based on the topology shown, two hosts communicate through an access switch connected to the CE8850 using a 64×100G QSFP28 uplink. The ping results show 0% packet loss and 1–2 ms latency, indicating stable Layer 3 forwarding and healthy network operation.
